Mary, Star of the Sea students participated in many fun Easter activities this week. Third Graders learned about the beautiful Easter story “Benjamin’s Box”. This story tells of a young boy who makes a journey along side of Jesus. Through his journey he collects several things to put into his box. During the story, a set of Resurrection Eggs are used for each child to open to find the treasures that unfold into the story of Jesus resurrection. Intermediate students entertained the entire student body with a couple of Easter tunes (Mahalo Mr. Ron Tish for teaching them the ukulele). Middle School students in Spanish Class enjoyed the traditional Mexican Easter celebration of making Cascarones – a Mexican tradition of decorating eggs and filling them with confetti. And finally, the entire school learned the historical Lenten story of the Pretzel. Thanks to Chef Ivo, each student made their own pretzel and enjoyed it for their end of the week snack! Mary, Star of the Sea students, faculty, and staff hope that you all had a glorious blessed Easter!
