January’s Character theme is “Trustworthiness.” During our monthly flag-raising ceremony, the 4th graders introduced the theme to the school with what Trustworthiness means to them. They entertained the school with their presentation and even a musical rap. Here’s what it means to them:
T Truthful – I won’t lie to you
R Reliable – If I say I will do something, I will
U Undeniable Loyalty – I will be loyal to my word
S Self-respect – I respect myself to know you can trust me
T Time – it takes time to build up someone’s trust
W Worthy – I am a good person who is worthy of your trust
O One – all it takes is ONE act to break someone’s trust
R Responsible – I am responsible and will do what is right
T Total commitment to doing the right thing and keeping your trust
H Honest – I will not lie to you
I I can be trusted to do what I say I will do
N Never let someone down who is trusting you
E Everyone should strive to be Trustworthy
S Secrets – I can be trusted to keep your secret
S Safe – You can feel safe with me by trusting me
