I was raised in San Diego, California. My husband, my dogs and I moved to Hawaii in 2014. I come from a long line of teachers.
I know that teaching is my calling because I want to make a difference in a child’s life. I love getting to know my students, learning about them, celebrating their successes and watching them grow. My teaching philosophy is to foster critical thinking skills, to facilitate the acquisitions of lifelong learning skills, to help students develop problem-solving strategies, and to prepare them for the future. I engage my students in discussions, debates, and activities that promote independent and cooperative learning lessons.
Besides my love for teaching, I enjoy lifting, running, playing with my dogs and any outside activities.
